About the Program
What Is Cleaning for a Reason?
Cleaning for a Reason is a non-profit organization that partners with professional cleaning companies across North America to provide free home cleaning for people undergoing treatment for any type of cancer.
The organization was founded on a simple insight: when you're going through cancer treatment, housework becomes impossible — but a clean home matters enormously for your health, your mood, and your dignity. That's where Cleaning for a Reason comes in.
Binx has been a registered Cleaning for a Reason partner since our founding in 2013. We donate cleaning services to qualifying patients in North Bay and Sudbury.

Who Qualifies?
Any woman, man, or child in active treatment for any type of cancer may be eligible. There is no income requirement. You can apply for yourself, or on behalf of someone you know in cancer treatment who has agreed to receive the service.
To apply:
- Complete the patient application on the Cleaning for a Reason website
- Your application is matched with a partner cleaning company in your area
- Up to two free cleanings are provided — one per month. Please note this is not a guaranteed service.
If you know someone who may qualify — a family member, friend, or patient — please share this page. Applications are made through the Cleaning for a Reason website, not directly through Binx.
