Culture & Values

Cleaning is hard, physical work. The people who do it deserve to be treated well. That belief drives everything about how Binx operates.

Built on People, Not Just Process

Since 2013, Binx has grown from a small team in North Bay to over 70 employees across two locations. That growth happened because we made one commitment from the start: treat every team member with the same professionalism we bring to our clients.

We pay weekly. We provide training — not just a broom and a bucket. We invest in certifications (WHMIS, Working from Heights, OHSA) because we believe informed employees are safe employees. And we promote from within, because the best people to lead teams are the ones who have done the work.

Our Core Values

Respect

Every team member is treated with dignity — by management, by supervisors, and by clients. We take that seriously and it shapes every policy we write.

Accountability

We do what we say we'll do. That applies to client commitments and to promises we make to our team — pay, schedules, training, and advancement.

Growth

We believe cleaning work is a real career path. We invest in training and leadership development so team members can advance within the company.

Responsibility

Green cleaning products, WHMIS compliance, and safe work practices reflect our responsibility to our team, our clients, and the communities we work in.

Community

We are Northern Ontario. We hire locally, spend locally, and give back — including our partnership with Cleaning for a Reason for families facing cancer.

Quality

We run a Quality Audit program because "good enough" isn't our standard. Clean means clean, consistently — for every client on every visit.

What It's Like to Work at Binx

We pay weekly — because bills don't wait two weeks. Our team members know their schedules in advance so they can plan their lives. Supervisors are accessible; if something isn't working, we want to know about it.

Every new team member goes through a structured onboarding. You learn our products, our protocols, and our standards before you set foot in a client's space. Ongoing training — WHMIS refreshers, OHSA updates, specialty certifications — is covered by Binx, not by you.

Many of our supervisors and team leads started in entry-level positions. If you show up, do the work, and bring a good attitude, there's a real path forward here.

Part of the Community

We've been in Northern Ontario for over a decade. Our clients are our neighbours. Our team members live in the same communities they clean. That's not a marketing line — it shapes the way we make decisions, spend money, and show up.

Through our Cleaning for a Reason partnership, our team provides free home cleaning to women undergoing cancer treatment. It's one of the most meaningful things we do, and our employees take real pride in it.
